Hubert T. Fuller Award Presented to Jim Hogan, C.P.M., CPIM

The Hubert T. Fuller Award is the highest award bestowed by our local organization.  Its purpose is to recognize those members who exemplify true professionalism in their daily responsibilities, have performed outstanding service within the local affiliate and are an asset to the community.

This award was named in honor of the affiliate’s 1970 president, a purchasing manager with Mobil Oil Company, who devoted many hours of his time to the success of our association.  Only members of ISM-Dallas are eligible.

Jim has held many positions in the ISM-Dallas affiliate.   He has served as program director, VP of Marketing, Education and Administration.  Jim served as President in 2006-2007 and served as former president and advisor on the board of directors.

He was presented the Southwest Supply Chain Forum Volunteer Person of the Year Award in 2003.

He attended Iowa State University and received a BA in Engineering Operations.  He was active in the Navy R.O.T.C, commissioned as Ensign in US Naval Reserve.  Jim served as a naval aviator during six years of active duty.  He continued serving his country as a Naval Reservist for an additional 17 years and retired from Naval Reserve with the rank of Commander.

Jim continued his education receiving an MBA from the University of Texas at Tyler.

He has worked in manufacturing for all of his professional civilian career.  He has worked in supply chain management in the air conditioning, semi conductor and office furniture business.  Jim is employed by Vecta, a division of Steelcase, as a Supply Chain Manager.

We were honored to have Martha Hogan at our dinner meeting, May 8th.  Jim and Martha have been married 38 years, raised two sons and have a beautiful granddaughter.  Jim’s community service includes many years coaching his son’s various athletic teams and serving in multiple positions of leadership for the Boy Scouts.  He is active in his church and is currently serving as Elder and Chair of the Church Board.

It was indeed an honor to present this award to Jim Hogan, C.P.M., CPIM, in recognition of his many hours of volunteerism to our affiliate and the community at our last dinner meeting.

Mary Walker, C.P.M., A.P.P.
